1. What is the Chula Vista Woman’s Club?

The Chula Vista Woman’s Club (CVWC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to community service, volunteerism, and friendship among women. Since 1913, our members have worked together to make a lasting impact through charitable projects, civic engagement, and local partnerships across Chula Vista and San Diego County.

2. What do members of the Chula Vista Woman’s Club do?

Our members volunteer, fundraise, and advocate for causes that strengthen our community. We support local schools, veterans, seniors, environmental programs, and families in need. We also host educational programs, social events, and leadership opportunities to empower women of all ages to make a difference.

3. Who can join the Chula Vista Woman’s Club?

Membership is open to all women who share a passion for community service, leadership, and friendship. You don’t have to live in Chula Vista to join, many of our members live throughout San Diego County. All are welcome!

4. How do I become a member?

You can complete our Contact Form online on our Membership Page. Once your online Contact Form is received, our Membership Chair will contact you with next steps. We encourage prospective members to attend two (2) of our monthly meetings before submitting a membership application.

5. How much does it cost to join?

Annual dues are $50 per year, which helps cover club programs, community service projects, and Federation membership fees. We keep membership affordable to encourage participation and inclusivity.

6. When and where does the club meet?

Our general meetings are held regularly throughout the club year and include inspiring guest speakers, project updates, and opportunities to connect with fellow members. Visitors are always welcome, please RSVP!

    • 10:00am – 10:30am Meet & Greet

    • 10:30am - 12:00pm General Meeting

    • 12:00pm - 1:00pm Lunch (optional - $20)

7. Is the Chula Vista Woman’s Club part of a larger organization?

Yes. CVWC is a proud member of the California Federation of Women’s Clubs (CFWC) and the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) - one of the world’s largest and oldest women’s volunteer organizations. Together, we unite women locally and globally through service and leadership.

8. What kind of volunteer opportunities are available?

Members can participate in a wide range of community service and fundraising activities that make a lasting difference. Our projects include:

  • Supporting local schools and youth programs

  • Partnering with charities and nonprofit organizations such as Meals on Wheels and the Chula Vista Veteran’s Home

  • Organizing fundraisers throughout the year, including our Annual Fashion Show Luncheon, Bunco Night, Fall Craft Fair, and December Silent Auction

  • Collaborating with the City of Chula Vista on civic, cultural, and beautification projects

9. Can I attend an event before joining?

Absolutely! We encourage prospective members to attend one of our monthly meetings or community events to experience our mission in action. It’s a great way to meet members, learn about our projects, and see how we make a difference together.

10. How can I support the club if I can’t become a member?

You can still make an impact! Community partners, local businesses, and individuals are welcome to donate, sponsor an event, or volunteer alongside us. Every contribution helps us continue our legacy of service in Chula Vista.
